This is where I tell
you a little about myself.
My name is
Greg Collins and I live in Eastern NC. A small town near the coast called
New Bern. Our claim to fame is being the birthplace of Pepsi Cola. Tryon
Palace is also a big tourist attraction here.
As I mentioned
in the opening page, I have had a life changing experience. For 29 years
I lived my life kinda coasting through not really looking to the future
much at all. On August 6, 2001, I decided to dedicate my life to Jesus
Christ. This decision has changed the way I look at things in a way that
is hard to explain. The best way to explain it is this....
Before I accepted
Christ as my Savior, All I was concerned about was how everything was effecting
me. I was a decent person and thought I had a lot of friends. I enjoyed
partying with my friends (although I didn't remember a lot of the parties
I attended). If you asked me at that time if I died right then was I going
to heaven, I surely would have told you I was. (And I would have believed
it!!) I learned shortly before August that I was wrong.
Since accepting
Christ as my Savior, I have learned just how lost I was. I have a new outlook
on life and enjoy it more now than ever. I used to think that christians
couldn't do anyhing fun. Now I know I have more fun doing things with my
church and helping others than I ever had before. I have more love in my
heart for others and enjoy being around and helping other people. I still
enjoy car shows and most of my other hobbies. The priority levels have
changed though! Jesus comes first in everything now. I'm not perfect by
a long shot but as each day passes and I learn more of what Jesus was like
and how He expects us to live, the more I want to live a life that pleases
Him.
This is a
short summary of the difference He has made in my life. If you would like
to know the whole story or would just like to drop me a line sometime,
I would be more than happy to reply back if you just send me an e-mail!!
If anything
I have said here has raised a question in your mind about what happens
after you die, send me an e-mail from the link above. If you don't want
to ask me , ask someone who you consider to be knowledgeable about the
Bible and ask them. The Bible is life's little instruction book and I believe
it is the true word of God. Whatever you do, don't be afraid to ask questions
if you have them. Just be careful of someone answering them without giving
you scripture references to look up for yourself to see where they got
the answer.
I appreciate you stopping by and hope you enjoy the rest of the site. May God bless you.
